Fol. 163 / El Señor Don Juan Antonio de la Carrera, y Gonzales de Balcarse Osorio Ermocilla, y Capelo Capitan de Caballeria, Regidor de Estado noble, Alguacil mayor de la Villa de Riobamba, Juez Conserbador de Real Hacienda, Gobernador Politico y Militar, de esta Ciudad, y su Provincia por el Rey Nuestro Señor etcetera.-
Dixo: Que hallandose proxima la selebridad del Corpus Christi, a que se contraé el amor infinito que la obmipotencia tubo desde la eternidad a sus criaturas, en cuya Reberencia todo el orbe cristiano solicita manifestar su respete con Publicas selebraciones, congregandose en las fiestas en donde se Manifiesta humanado el soberano Rey de Reyes, en demostracion de reconocimiento á tan infinita caridad; y siendo como es esta republica tan propenso al culto, y devocion de tan grande Magestad, el Procurador General Sindico de ella, á nombre del Señor Governador conbide a todas las Personas Publicas, y principales, sin esepcion de ninguno, y haga que se aseen las calles por donde ha de pasar la Divina Magestad, para que queden limpias, y corrientes, guarneciendose los Altares con la mayor Decencia de Ramos frondosos, y todo el Piso de flores de buena compocision incitando a los Dueños de llos Alares respectibos a dichas calles para que concurran á Adornarles pidien / Fol. 163v / do a todas la venerables comunidades, que hagan tocar repiques de Gloria en todo el Tiempo de la Procesion: y en lo demas conmueba a los respectibos gremios para los debidos Altares segun, y como en esta Plaza se acostumbrado, en cuya atencion, y para maior solemnidad debia de mandar y mandar que en dicho dia de Corpus, y su Octabario se sierre todos los Lugares Publicos y profanos, como son Trucos, Tabernas, Tiendas de Mercancias, y de toda oficina, pena de seis pesos al que contrabiniere con cargo de que al mismo tiempo se lo saquen los Tenientes de alguacil maior que deberan selar en este acto la mas lebe infraccion áplicandolos para la sera, y culto del Santisimo Sacramento, y entregandoles luego que los excijan al sindico de su cofradia:
Y todos los gremios de Pintores, Plateros, Escultores, Carpinteros, Herreros, Sapateros, Sastres, Cueteros, Sombrederos, y todos los Musicos, so pena de la expresada Multa de seis pesos, y los plateros compondran la Pila de la Plaza, y todos y cada uno en su gremio en el traje mas decente que puedan. Concluyrán a la Plaza mayor á tiempo de la selebracion de la Misa, y luego que se concluya se formaran en cuerpo de procesion siguiendo alternatibamente todo el circulo de ello en el citado dia del Corpus, y su Octaba con la mas humilde reberencia, y silencio sin que en esta falta se les admita escusa alguna.
Y para que llegue a noticia de todos se publique en forma de bando. dado en Cuenca en veinte y uno de Mayo de mil seytecientos ochenta y sinco años.-

<br />Dentro del fondo oficial y denominada así por contener la documentación procedente de la principal entidad política de la Provincia: la Gobernación, representada a su vez por la máxima autoridad local: el Gobernador, contiene libros con reales cédulas emitidas desde España a las indias y sus funcionarios reales en la ciudad Cuenca entre los años de 1760 a 1907 distribuidos en 207 volúmenes. Cabe destacar, que esta sección esta en proceso de carga de expedientes digitales al sistema por lo que mes a mes irán incrementándose los folios de los libros digitalizados.
